ABSTRACT ROBBY PRATAMA PUTRA, NIM. 1630104060, entitled : "THE IMPACT OF STUDENTS' ACADEMIC STRESS ON LEARNING OUTCOMES IN THE BATUSANGKAR.English Language Education Department, Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies 2020. The problem in this research is that the impact of students' academic stress toward their learning outcomes has not been revealed. majoring in English Tadris. This study aims to see the impact of academics on learning outcomes for Tadris English students at IAIN Batusangkar. This study uses a quantitative approach with comparative causal method or ex post facto. The population in this study were all English students registered in the 2019/2020 academic year which included 253 people with a sample of 71 students who were selected using the stratified random sampling method.). The data collection technique in this study used a closed questionnaire with 104 statements made based on the theory of the impact of academic stress. The results of the instrument validity showed 17 statements were revised, 5 statements were ignored, and 82 statements were valid. So that we get 99 valid statements. The result of the instrument reliability was 0.927 (very high). Analysis, data analysis, the researcher used Slovin (2006), theory which included academic stress using SPSS 22 to process data. The results showed that there was an impact of stress on information on English language education students. Based on the questionnaire filled in by English students, the gain of F ratio is from F table (7.08) or (.346>4.08). Then, the p value is 0.01 which is less than 0.05 (0.01 0.05). From this result, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that significant the impact of academic stress toward learning outcome
