Disability in Islamic Law

The book analyzes attitudes to people with various disabilities based on Muslim jurists’ works in the Middle Ages and the modern era. Very little has been written so far on people with disabilities in a general Islamic context, much less in reference to Islamic law. The main contribution of the book is that it focuses on people with disabilities and depicts the place and status that Islamic law has assigned to them.

Women in Classical Islamic Law

Drawing on legal and ad th texts from the formative and classical periods of Islamic legal history, this book offers an overview of the development of the questions prominent jurists asked and answered about women s issues. All assumed a woman would marry and thus the book concentrates on women s family life. The introduction establishes the historical framework within which the jurists worked. A chapter on Qur n verses devoted to women s lives is followed by chapters on marriage and divorce which compare the views of jurists during the formative period. The fourth chapter describes the evolution from the formative to the classical periods. The fifth uses material from both periods to describe the array of legal opinion about other aspects of women s lives in and outside their homes. Throughout, jurists opinions are juxtaposed with relevant quotations from contemporaneous ad th collections.

EFEKTIFITAS LAYANAN KONSELING KELOMPOK UNTUK MEREDUKSI PERILAKU AGRESIF SISWA DI SMPN 3 BATUSANGKAR

YUNIFA RESPI. BK. NIM, 13 108 157 judul SKRIPSI “Efektifitas Layanan Konseling Kelompok untuk Mereduksi Perilaku Agresif Siswa di SMPN 3 Batusangkar”. Jurusan Bimbingan dan Konseling Institut Agama Islam (IAIN Batusangkar). Pokok permasalahan dalam Skripsi ini adalah bagimana efektifitas layanan konseling kelompok untuk mereduksi perilaku agresif siswa di SMPN 3 Batusangkar. Tujuan pembahasan ini untuk mengetahui apakah efektif layanan konseling kelompok untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif siswa di SMPN 3 Batusangkar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan tipe one groupp pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII. 4 SMPN 3 Batusangkar. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 12 orang siswa kelas VIII. 4 yang teridentifikasi perilaku agresif. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan diperoleh bahwa layanan konseling kelompok signifikan untuk mereduksi perilaku agresif siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan skor posttest yang menurun dibandingkan dengan skor prestest. Ini dibuktikan dengan t0 > tt sehingga Ha yang menyatakan layanan konseling kelompok dapat mereduksi perilaku agresif siswa secara signifikan diterima, dan H0 yang menyatakan layanan konseling kelompok tidak dapat mereduksi perilaku agresif siswa secara signifikan ditolak.
