This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the Running Dictation strategy applied by teachers in teaching at SMP IT Darul Hikmah Pasaman Barat for the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP IT Darul Hikmah, amounting to 65 people. In this study, researchers used a total sampling technique. In data collection, the instrument used was a questionnaire about students' perceptions of the implementation of the running dictation strategy by the English teacher. The results of the validation of this instrument in general are in the range of 61.0% - 80.9%, from the results of the validation of this instrument it is feasible to use and make slight revisions. After that, the researcher distributed the instruments to the research sample to be filled. The results showed that the students' perception of the Running Dictation strategy applied by the teacher in teaching was strongly positive (very positive) with a percentage of 89.23% and an average of 211.05. When viewed from each aspect, students' perceptions of the Running Dictation strategy applied by the teacher in teaching, on the cognitive aspect lies in the category of strongly positive (very positive) with a percentage of 84.61% and an average of 127.43, on the affective aspect lies in the category of strongly positive (very positive) with a percentage of 84.61% and an average of 41.9, in the conative aspect it lies in the category of strongly positive (very positive) with a percentage of 87.69% and an average of 41.71. Of the three aspects of perception, it is more dominant to strongly positive. Based on the results of this study, the Running Dictation strategy is recommended to be used at SMPIT Darul Hikmah West Pasaman

RIZKA LINA PUTRI, 15 300 400 083, judul skripsi “STUDENTS PERCEPTION TOWARD THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ECAFE LEARNING IN TEACHING ENGLISH AT SMAN 1 SUNGAYANG”, Jurusan Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Batusangkar. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya beragam persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan ECAFE Learning dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengambarkan persepsi siswa terhadap ECAFE learning yang diterapkan oleh guru bahasa inggris dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SMAN 1 Sungayang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas X1I IPA and XII IPS yang ada di SMAN 1 Sungayang yang belajar pada matapelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang berjumlah 177 orang. Sampel dari penelitian ini berjumlah 122 orang. Sampel dari penelitian ini diambil mengunakan teknik stratified proportional random sampling yaitu sebanyak 55 orang yang digunakan sebagai sampel uji coba. Dalam pengumpulan data, instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup. Angket tersebut dianalisis mengunakan program SPSS 22 untuk melihat validasi dan reliabilitas setiap items. Dari angket yang di uji cobakan didapat 28 item valid, 20 item direvisi , and 4 Item dibuang. Sedangkan untuk hasil reliabilitasnya adalah 0,666 yang berada pada reliabilitas yang sangat baik. Kemudian peneliti menganalisis data dengan mengunakan rumus Djemari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan ECAFE Learning diterapkan guru dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris di SMAN 1 Sungayang adalah ada pad akategori Srtongly Positive (sangat positif) dengan rata-rata 191.02. Jika dilihat dari masing-masing aspek persepsi, persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan ECAFE Learning yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris adalah sebagai berikut: pada aspek kognitif persepsi siswa adalah terletak pada kategori Srtongly Positive (sangat positif) dengan rata-rata 115.75, pada aspek afektif persepsi siswa adalah terletak pada kategori Srtongly Positive (sangat positif) dengan rata-rata 36.49, dan pada aspek konatif persepsi siswa adalah terletak pada kategori Srtongly Positive (sangat positif) dengan rata-rata 35.59. Dari penjelasan diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan ECAFE Learning didalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris adalah strongly positive (sangat positif).
