ADITYA RAHMADANI DRAJAT, NIM 14 104 001 judul skripsi “STUDENTS' PREFERENCES IN USING ONLINE LEARNING APPLICATIONS DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC”, Jurusan Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Batusangkar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan aplikasi pembelajaran online yang potential menjadi aplikasi representative atau utama/ tunggal untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran online berdasarkan preferensi mahasiswa jurusan tadris Bahasa inggris. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian qualitative, Instrument yang digunakan ialah kuesioner yang dibagikan melalui perwakilan masing-masing angkatan mahasiswa tadris Bahasa inggris pada tahun akademik 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 4 angkatan. Perwakilan dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa whatsapp dan google serta messenger menjadi aplikasi preferensi mahasiswa tadris Bahasa inggris pada tahun akademik 2020/2021 dan direkomendasikan sebagai aplikasi representative atau utama/ tunggal untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran online.

SINTIA PRATIWI, Reg No. 2130104067, entitled: “An Analysis of Students’ Difficulties in Translation English Text to Indonesian Using Applications on Translation Course” (A Study of the Fifth Semester Students of English Teaching Department at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Registered in 2024/2025 Academic Year). English Teaching Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Islamic State University of Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar.
The problem of this research is that Students’ face difficulties in translating English text to Indonesian using applications on Translation Course. This research was aimed to know and describe students’ difficulties translating English text to Indonesian Indonesian Using on Translation Course of the Fifth Semester Students of English Teaching Department at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Registered in 2024/2025 Academic Year.
This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive design. The technique used in collecting informants is purposive sampling. The informants in this research were five students who had taken the Translation Course and stated that they experienced difficulties in translating from English to Indonesian. In this research, the researcher acted as the key instrument and the interview guide as a supporting instrument. To test the validity of the data, the researcher used a prolong engagement, namely by conducting additional interviews if there was insufficient or doubtful data or information regarding the consent requested by the informant during the first interview. To carry out data analysis, the researcher referred to the theory (Miles and Huberman in Sari, 2022), namely data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing and data verification. The researcher conducted interviews based on the interview guide, then analyzed the results of the interviews, and drew conclusions and verified the research findings.
The results of this research indicate that there are six difficulties faced by students’ in translating English text to Indonesian Indonesian using applications on Translation Course. The difficulties are: 1) Having difficulties in translating according to the given context, 2) Having limitations in the number of characters, 3) Having less accurate translation results, 4) Having inability to translate files containing images and 5) Having the application require payment for use.
