Abstrak
ABSTRAK AULIA RAHMI, NIM: 1830108015 (2023) judul SKRIPSI “PERILAKU INSECURE MAHASISWA PENGGUNA MEDIA SOSIAL DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM LAYANAN KONSELING” Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling Fakultas Tarbiyah Dan Ilmu Keguruan Universitas Islam Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya Perilaku insecure mahasiswa pengguna media sosial. Peneliti melihat adanya berbagai permasalahan yang muncul karena pengguna media sosial terlebih fokus kepada perilaku insecure mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitan ini untuk mengetahi bentuk perilaku insecure mahasiswa pengguna media sosial, untuk mengetahui Penyebab perilaku Insecure mahasiswa penggu media sosial, untuk mengetahui Efek dari perilaku insecure mahasiswa pengguna media sosial, untuk mengetahui bagaimana implikasi layanan konseling terhadap perilaku insecure mahasiswa pengguna media social. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa penghuni kos limo kaum. Teknik analisis data dan interpretasi data adalah dengan mengumpulkan data hasil wawancara dan observasi, membuat kesimpulan dan memverifikasi data. Teknik yang digunakan untuk penjamin keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi data yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, serta triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa, perilaku insecure mahasiswa pengguna media sosial dan implikasinya dalam layanan konseling di kos Limo Kaum dapat mengubah pola pikir mahasiswa dan perilaku insecure, terkait penggunaan media sosial menjadi lebih sehat, positif, dan adaptif. Mereka memperoleh keterampilan dan strategi yang dapat membantu mengelola perasaan insecure, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, mengembangkan hubungan yang lebih sehat, serta mengembangkan kesehatan mental yang lebih baik dan menguragi dampak negative dari perilaku insecure yang berkaitan dengan media sosial. This research is motivated by the insecure behavior of students who use social media. Researchers see that there are various problems that arise because social media users focus primarily on student insecure behavior. The purpose of this research is to find out the forms of insecure behavior of students who use social media, to find out the causes of insecure behavior of students who use social media, to find out the effects of the insecure behavior of students who use social media, to find out the implications of counseling services on the insecure behavior of students who use social media. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are by observation, interviews and documentation. The primary data source in this study is the student occupants of the limo boarding house. The technique of data analysis and data interpretation is to collect data from interviews and observations, make conclusions and verify the data. The technique used to guarantee data validity is data triangulation, namely source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study found that the insecure behavior of students who use social media and its implications for counseling services at the Limo Kaum boarding house can change students' mindsets and insecure behavior, related to the use of social media to become healthier, positive, and adaptive. They gain skills and strategies that can help manage feelings of insecurity, increase self-confidence, develop healthier relationships, and develop better mental health and reduce the negative impact of insecure behavior related to social media.
