MUHAMMAD ATTHOORIQ, NIM 1730104042. Thesis entitled "STUDENT’S PERCEPTION TOWARD SCIENTIFIC APPROACH USED BY THE ENGLISH TEACHER AT ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL OF AL HARBI". English Teaching Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training State Islamic University (UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem in this study is the students perception toward scientific approach used by english teacher at islamic boarding school of alharbi.The scientific Approach is a learning model that requires students to be active as a science expert. In practice, students are required to carry out a series of activities like the steps of applying the scientific method (Caspari, 2007). The series of activities in question include (1) formulating problems, (2) proposing hypotheses, (3) collecting data, (4) processing and analyzing data, and (5) making conclusions. Therefore, the researcher conducted the research whic contains. What are Students’ Perception Toward Scientific approach Used by The English Teacher at Islamic Boarding School Al Harbi, What are studnets’ perception To describe Students’ Perception Toward Scientific Approach Used by The English Teacher at Islamic Boarding School Al Harbi of cognitive component.What are Students’ Perception Toward Scientific Approach Used by The English Teacher at Islamic Boarding School Al Harbi of cognitive,affective,conative component. This research was qualitative research, a case study one. The informant of this research was six informant. The informant were the students grade VIII of Islamic boardin school of Al Harbi. This data of this research collected by using interview. The results of this study indicate that: Cognitive component through observing phase on scientific approach : 1) The explain the learning material in detail through interest media. Affective Component through questioning, experimenting and associating on scientific approach: 1) The students are motivated by the teacher’s way to encourage the students to learn actively; 2) The students enjoy in learning process; 3) The students unmotivated to learn actively ; 4) the students feel unconfortable in learning process. Skripsi berjudul "PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP PENDEKATAN ILMIAH YANG DIGUNAKAN OLEH GURU BAHASA INGGRIS DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL HARBI". Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah persepsi siswa terhadap pendekatan saintifik yang digunakan oleh guru bahasa Inggris di pondok pesantren alharbi. Pendekatan ilmiah merupakan model pembelajaran yang menuntut peserta didik untuk aktif sebagai ahli IPA. Dalam praktiknya, mahasiswa dituntut untuk melakukan serangkaian kegiatan seperti langkah-langkah penerapan metode ilmiah (Caspari, 2007). Rangkaian kegiatan yang dimaksud meliputi (1) merumuskan masalah, (2) mengajukan hipotesis, (3) mengumpulkan data, (4) mengolah dan menganalisis data, dan (5) membuat kesimpulan. komponen. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian yang mengandung. Apa Persepsi Siswa Terhadap Pendekatan Keilmuan Yang Digunakan oleh Guru Bahasa Inggris di Pondok Pesantren Al Harbi, Apa persepsi studnet Untuk menggambarkan Persepsi Siswa Terhadap Pendekatan Ilmiah yang Digunakan oleh Guru Bahasa Inggris di Pondok Pesantren Al Harbi dari komponen kognitif. Bagaimana Persepsi Siswa Terhadap Pendekatan Ilmiah yang Digunakan oleh Guru Bahasa Inggris di Pondok Pesantren Al Harbi terhadap komponen kognitif,afektif,konatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, studi kasus. Informan penelitian ini berjumlah enam informan. Informan itu adalah siswa kelas VIII pesantren Al Harbi. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Komponen kognitif melalui fase observasi pada pendekatan saintifik : 1) Menjelaskan materi pembelajaran secara rinci melalui media minat. Komponen Afektif melalui pertanyaan, eksperimen dan asosiasi pada pendekatan ilmiah: 1) Siswa termotivasi oleh cara guru untuk mendorong siswa untuk belajar secara aktif; 2) Siswa menikmati proses pembelajaran; 3) Siswa tidak termotivasi untuk belajar secara aktif ; 4) siswa merasa tidak dapat dikonsumtifkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Contive componen melalui fase komunikatif pada pendekatan ilmiah : 1) Siswa memiliki kesempatan untuk tampil di depan kelas.
