STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARD THE USE OF ENGLISH LEARNING MATERIALS IN NON ENGLISH SUBJECT (A Study of the sixth Semester Students of Counseling Department at IAIN Batusangkar Registered in 2015/2016 Academic Year)

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah beragamnya sikap mahasiswa jurusan Bimbingan Konseling (BK) terhadap penggunaan materi berbahasa Inggris pada mata kuliah yang bukan matakuliah Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan materi berbahasa Inggris pada matakuliah yang bukan Bahasa Inggris. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitative. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa BK semester VI IAIN Batusangkar tahun akademik 2015/2016. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang diujicobakan kepada 27 mahasiswa. Dari angket yang di ujicobakan didapat 26 item valid, 27 item direvisi, dan 3 item dibuang. Selanjutnya angket di distribusikan kepada 40 respondent penelitian untuk mengumpulkan data. Dalam menganalisis data ini, peneliti menggunakan program SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap mahasiswa dalam penggunaan materi berbahasa Inggris adalah strongly positive dengan rata-rata 176. Jika dilihat dari category nya adalah sebagai berikut: Strongly Positive, 90% dan Positive, 10%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sikap mahasiswa BK dalam penggunaan materi berbahasa Inggris pada mata kuliah yang bukan Bahasa Inggris adalah Strongly positif.

Spontaneous Photoelectrolysis of HBr and HI

Spontaneous and efficient photoelectrolysis of HBr into hydrogen and bromine is reported for light of wavelengths to 950nm in a p-n photoelectrolysis cell composed of a p-InP photocathode with noble metal catalyst islands on the surface and an n-MoSe2 or an n-WSe2 photoanode. Photoelectrolysis of HI with the same photoelectrodes yields hydrogen and iodine and simultaneously produces electrical power. The efficiency of the photoelectrolysis is calculated by two methods, one based on the stored free energy and the other based on electrical power saved. The efficiencies for HBr photoelectrolysis by 632.8 nm light are 7.8%, if calculated by the first method, and 11.2%, if calculated by the second.
