This book is a sweeping indictment of the legal profession in the realm of constitutional interpretation. The adversarial, advocacy-based American legal system is well suited to American justice, in which one-sided arguments collide to produce a just outcome. But when applied to constitutional theorizing, the result is selective analysis, overheated rhetoric, distorted facts, and overstated conclusions. Such wayward theorizing finds its way into print in the nation's over 600 law journals – professional publications run by law students, not faculty or other professionals – and peer review is almost never used to evaluate worthiness. The consequences of this system are examined through three timely cases: the presidential veto, the 'unitary theory' of the president's commander-in-chief power, and the Second Amendment's 'right to bear arms'. In each case, law reviews were the breeding ground for defective theories that won false legitimacy and political currency. This book concludes with recommendations for reform.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan berhitung anak di TK Harapan Bunda Koto Tuo Kec.Salimpaung. Hal ini diduga karena media yang digunakan guru kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peningkatan kemampuan berhitung anak menggunakan permainan ular tangga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian murid yang ada di TK Harapan Bunda Koto Tuo Kec. Salimpaung yang berjumlah 11 anak pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi dengan menggunakan alat pengumpulan data berupa pedoman observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase. Temuan penelitian adalah : meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak dengan menggunakan permainan ular tangga yang meliputi lima indikator yaitu, pada indikator 1 pada pertemuan pertama sampai dengan pertemuan ke enam mengalami peningkatan dari 47,22% sampai 97,22% pada pertemuan ke enam, Pada indikator 2 pada pertemuan sampai dengan pertemuan ke enam mengalami peningkatan dari persentase 38,88% menjadi 94,44% pada pertemuan ke enam. Pada Indikator 3 pada pertemuan pertama dengan persentase 36,11% sampai dengan persentase 100% pada pertemuan keenam. Pada indikator 4 pada pertemuan pertama dengan persentase dengan persentase 27,77% sampai dengan persentase 77,77%. Pada indikator 5 pada pertemuan pertama 27,77% sampai dengan persentase 77,77% sampai dengan pertemuan keenam. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disarankan kepada guru menerapkan kegiatan media permainan ular tangga sebagai alternatif peningkatan kemampuan berhitung anak, bagi orang tua hendaknya memberi kesempatan pada anak untuk meningkatkan berhitung anak dengan kegiatan media permainan ular tangga, dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar meneliti lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana meningkatkan berhitung pada anak.
