Menulis diktat atau modul perkuliahan mungkin bukan hal baru bagi para intelektual kampus kita. <div><p><em>The research is conducted based on the fact that Senior high school English teachers of Tanah Datar Regency face problems in implementing curiculum 2013.The research is aimed at finding out the problems of the teachers related to the implementation of the Curriculum. Therefore, a qualitative research method was applied. To collect the data of the research, interview technique was used. To analyze the colled data, interactive model of analysis as proposed by Miles and Huberman was used. The results of the research show that there were two types of the problems that the teachers faced in implementing the new Curriculum, those deriving from the teachers themsevels, and those deriving from others, like government, students and facilities. </em></p>Kata kunci: permasalahan, guru, bahasa Inggris, implementasi, kurikulum 2013</div>

<div><p><em>This study was aimed at finding to find out whether </em><em>there is any significant academic achievement difference of the fifth and seventh semester of English students based on their achievement motivation.This research used ex-post facto design. </em><em>From data analysis using inferential statistics--T-test for independent samples with statistical analysis tool, SPSS 18, </em><em>it was found that there was a significant academic achievement difference of the fifth semester</em><em> of</em><em> English students based on their achievement motivation. Conversely, there is no significant </em><em>academic achievement difference of the seventh semester </em><em>of</em><em>English students based on their achievement motivation. </em><em>It means that the level of achievement motivation did not contribute significantly on the level of students’ academic achievement.</em></p><strong>Key Words: </strong><em>Academic Achievement Differences, Achievement Motivation, English Students</em></div>

<p><em>It is a fact that good values as well as Islamic velues are dicreased in the recent year. It could be caused by several reasons such as the act of amoral and anarchis. In order to overcome this problem, wholistical approach could be used. One of the approaches is using spiritual teistic counselling. This approach is based on Islamic values which derived from prophetic character. It developes one’s natural tendency (fitrah), critical thinking, and attitude in parallel with Islamic value. The use of this approach produces good character generation who own FAST character (fatonah- smart, amanah- reliable, siddiq-true, and tabligh-deliver).</em><em></em></p><strong>Kata kunci: </strong>revolusi mental, konseling spritual teistik, karakter FAST.

<p><em>Th</em><em>is study was</em><em> purpose</em><em>d</em><em> </em><em>at </em><em>identify</em><em>ing</em><em> the various transactions in Islamic banking </em><em>of</em><em> West Sumat</em><em>e</em><em>ra were categorized on the </em><em>“</em><em>debts</em><em>”;</em><em> </em><em>describing</em><em> the implementation of the transaction</em><em>;</em><em> and </em><em>analyzing </em><em>the various transactions </em><em>we</em><em>re based on the economic</em><em> fiqh</em><em> perspective. </em><em>This</em><em> </em><em>study</em><em> </em><em>belongs to</em><em> qualitative case study </em><em>by </em><em>using in-depth interviews as research instrument. The data were analyzed qualitatively based on the economic</em><em> fiqh</em><em> perspective, Al-Qur'an, Sunnah, Ijtihad the scholars, and the Fatwa of National Sharia Council (DSN) </em><em>and </em><em>Indonesian Council of Scholars</em><em> (MUI). The results of this study revealed that the types of transactions </em><em>we</em><em>re categorized </em><em>“</em><em>debts</em><em>”</em><em> </em><em>was</em><em> murabaha</em><em>h</em><em>, qardh (bailout </em><em>pilgrimage</em><em>), hiwalah, and rahn (pawn</em><em>ing</em><em> gold). Murabahah</em><em> was </em><em>present</em><em>ed</em><em> on all Islamic Bank but not all transactions on Islamic banking </em><em>of</em><em> West Sumat</em><em>e</em><em>ra </em><em>based on</em><em> the economic</em><em> fiqh</em><em> perspective </em><em>such</em><em> the calculation of the margin murabaha</em><em>h</em><em> based on the amount of banks financing. </em><em>Then the</em><em> calculation</em><em> of</em><em> ujrah on the bailout </em><em>pilgrimage</em><em> </em><em>was </em><em>still based on the amount of bail. Furthermore, the calculation</em><em> of</em><em> ujrah on pawn</em><em>ing</em><em> gold </em><em>wa</em><em>s not based on the calculation of the treatment period but to the amount of </em><em>“debt”</em><em> funds. <p><em>Indonesia, as one of the majority Moslem population in the world, is potentially promising for the growth and the development of zakah (divine tax) program, especially property, and to be made more productive, both in terms worships and practices of Islamic values, and economic activities in general. By means of zakah raising institution (BAZ), the process of raising and distributing of zakah will be more effective and guaranteed. Furthermore, zakah is believed to be able to solve problems dealing with poverty resulting from the increase numbers of unemployement. Productive zakah, for example, give an opportunity for the zakah receivers to make use the money or property to start a new better life.</em><em></em></p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>:<em> productive tithe/zakah, distribution, unemployment , eradicate poverty</em>

<div><p><em>This study was addressed to explore types of questions and its frequency used by EFL teacher in the classroom during the teaching processes through analyzing the transcripts of the videotaped instructions. Another special emphasis is put on investigating the length of the students’ utterances in responding the teacher questions. The participants were 29 Grade-eleven students and </em><em> an English</em><em> teacher. The results showed that rhetorical, procedural, closed, open, display, and referential questions were found, and it was more focused on the last four types</em><em> of questions</em><em>. However, display questions are more than twice as much as referential one, 50.8% compared to 14.6% occurrences, and closed questions are the most preferred questions with a total number of 252 which is also slightly more than double of referential questions which compose 62 questions. Conversely, open and referential questions produced longer students’ responses than closed and display ones.</em><em></em></p><strong>Key Words: </strong><em>teacher question, EFL classroom interaction, student responses</em></div>

<p><em>The reality of students’ negative attitude made Indonesia goverment had not moved forward nowadays. Most people judged that educational system should take the responsibility to this condition. Education was assumed laying on students’ cognitive rather than affective and conative. Reliazing this phenomena, counceling as a part of education offered group counceling as one strategy of character education based playing games. There were twelve playing games that could be applied to build positive character: the practice writing, body movement, circleling, dyad, triad, creative group, art and handcraft, fantasy, reading, feedback, belief, moral dilemma, and group decision.</em></p><p> </p><strong>Kata kunci: </strong>bimbingan kelompok, karakter, dan latihan permainan
