<div><p><em>This research was inspired because of the researcher previous research. Based on the result of the research, he found that there was a contradiction between the students’ enthusiastic and their score after appying Team Game Tournament (TGT) technique. They had highly positive to the use of the technique, but they had low score after doing the reading test. It was the reason why the researcher tried to reresearch about the trueness whether the technique was still possible to be used at Reading Comprehension classroom or not. This research was descriptive quantitative one. Respondent of the research was the third semester students of English department of Tarbiyah Faculty of STAIN Batusangkar registered in 2013/2014 academic year. Data of the research was collected by giving questionnaire and observation note. After analyzing the data of the research, it was known that the students’ attitude toward the use of </em><em>Team Game Tournament (TGT)technique at Reading Comprehension III classroom was <strong>positive </strong>in which there were 16 students (42,1%) had <strong>positif</strong> attitude toward the use of the technkique.</em><strong></strong></p><strong>Kata kunci: </strong>Sikap Mahasiswa, <em>Team Game Tournament</em></div>

<p><em>This research was done because of the students’ difficulties in understanding the concept of global warming and implementing character values so that it needed to design poster media based character education. This research was aimed to see the effectiveness of poster media based character education that was already developed in Ilmu Alamiah Dasar subject. The design of the research was a research development. The effectiveness of poster media was gotten from testing to the students who had conducted Ilmu Alamiah Dasar subject. The instrument of the research was questionnaire. <p><em>This research was inspired from the result of a research under the title: “Analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahassiswa program studi tadris matematika.” This research was done to know and describe how was the students’ ability to solve mathematic probelm as math teacher candidate in Geometri Transformasi subject registered in 2012/2013 academic year of Mathematic department of Tarbiyah Faculty of STAIN Batusangkar. The design of this research was the combination of quantitative and qualitative by using descriptive approach. The instrument of this research was test and interview. The data was analyzed through data triangulation, data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusion. The result of the research showed that the students’ ability from high group was very satisfactory. The students’ ability from avarage group was satisfactory. <p><em>The reality of students’ negative attitude made Indonesia goverment had not moved forward nowadays. Most people judged that educational system should take the responsibility to this condition. Education was assumed laying on students’ cognitive rather than affective and conative. Reliazing this phenomena, counceling as a part of education offered group counceling as one strategy of character education based playing games. <p><em>Marriage is basically the main element in the establishment of sakinah, mawaddah and rahmah family. Consequently, to realize such expected family, fixed laws are needed. The implementation of such laws in marriage is aimed at maintaining rights, ….. and responsibilities of the family members in order to realize everlasting and qualified family which is suitable with marriage purposes. Therefore, administrating marriage which has been stated in laws is becoming obligation to carry out. <div><p><em>The study of Istisqaq (derivational word) as a part of Fiqh lughah (Arabic linguistic) is a main concern of linguists in the recent decade. Istisqa’ is one of the distinguished features of Arabic which have rich vocabulary. In the early of the third century of Hijriah year, several Ulamas (Moslem scholar) pay a serious attention in the study of Istisqaq. Istisqaq is a process of forming a word to another word in order to produce a new meaning. This formation was initiated by Ibn Jinniy. He then wrote a monumental book entitled Al-Khashaish. Istisqaq is identical with the study of Ilm Syarf (morphology). This paper concludes that the teaching of fiqh lughah in an advanced level needs to improve. <p><em>Teaching students to speak English is not an easy task. The teachers shoud consider and think hard about several points to be done</em><em>: to </em><em>mak</em><em>e</em><em> the students motivated to speak English</em><em>, to </em><em>keep</em><em>them </em><em>speaking the new language</em><em>, and to make them have</em><em> accuracy in speaking the language</em><em>, and to c</em><em>orrect the students’ mistakes without feeling</em><em> being </em><em> blamed or discouraged. To handle the difficult tasks previously mentioned, the English teachers should find a solution. Teaching the students through unforgettable, interesting experiences might be one of the solutions that they can choose. <p><em>The students have a problem in comprehending the text in listening comprehension. It</em><em> was prompted by the idea that metacognitive stratetegies is the crucial important </em><em>to solve the problem in listening comprehension</em><em>. By using these strategies, it helped students to plan, monitor, solve, and evaluate their learning </em><em>to foster their listening comprehension</em><em>.</em><em> One of strategy in metacognitive is planning strategies. This article is intendedto find out what planning of</em><em> metacognitive strategies </em><em>used by students and the way</em><em> they apply it in listening comprehension.</em><em>Based on the research has conducted by the researcher, The students</em><em> had applied metacognitive strategies but some of th</em><em>em</em><em> did not do it in the correct ways in listening comprehension. <p><em>The main objective of learning English is using English as a means of communication. One of the ways for the teachers to make </em><em>the students</em><em> use English as a means of communicationis using appropriate techniques which match with the learners’ characteristics in teaching speaking. Unfortunately, the fact shows that many teachers still do not know the appropriate techniques to teach speaking for </em><em>the students</em><em>. They frequently teach speaking using translation and memorizing techniques, whereas, those techniques are not appropriate with the characteristics of young learners. In this case, the teachers have to know the applicable techniques for teaching speaking to </em><em>the students</em><em> to achieve the main objective of teaching English. <p><em>A group of the same age was the second environment for specific individu in interacting with others in his/her environment. It became an intercation medium by this group to explore their knowledge. In real life, it usually took much influence on students’ attitude rather than parents’ influence. <p><em>The problem of this reseach was the lack of the teachers’ knowledge and understanding about the evaluation of students’ achievement. This research was descriptive research (correlation research). The population of this research was all Islamic elementary school teachers at Tanah Datar regency. They are about 319 teachers. The sample of this research was 98 teachers. The sample was selected by using stratified propotional random sampling technique that is through cohcran technique. The instrument of this research was questionnaire (Linkert scale). The evaluation of students’ achievement was variable Y, and supervisors’ supervision was variable X2. And, the teachers’ knowledge of evaluation (variable X1) was analyzed by using objective test.The result of the research showed that: 1) there is any correlation between the teachers’ understanding of avaluation to the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency, 2) there is any correlation between the supervisors’ supervision to the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency, 3) the teachers’ anderstanding and their supervision of evaluation influenced the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency</em><em>.</em><em></em></p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: pengetahuan evaluasi, supervisi pengawas, kinerja evaluasi guru

<p><em>This research was done to see the practicability of learning material based E-Learning that was developed in Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 1 (KPB 1). The practicability of this material was seen from the easiest of using this material by the students. The design of this research was research development. The research instrument was interview. The data from interview was analyzed by using descriptive analysis. <p><em>This research was aimed to know the effect of using documentary film on the tenth grade students’ achievement of SMKN 1 Guguk. The design of the research was randomized control group only design. The population of the research was all of the tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Guguk who were registered in 2010/2011 academic year. The sample of the research was chosen by using purposive random sampling technique in which Contruction class was as control group and Electronic was as experimental group. <div><p><em>Mental revolution is a national movement that could be implemented in many areas including in the field of education. Teachers could implement this movement in order to inject students’ character. One of the strategies to actualize mental revolution in schools is using integrated Islamic teaching. Islamic teaching is not taught separately but must be implemented integratively. The use of integrative Islamic teaching is expected that students comprehend the learning content contextually. The implementation might be done using the integration of Islamic teaching to other subject matters such as civic, sport, art, language and others. It is even could be done the use of the integration of Islamic teaching to Islamic subject matters such as fiqh, aqidah akhlaq, and Quran hadits. <p><em>The depelopment of technology in Globalization era may give bad influence to education nowadays. It had created people’s moral crisis, especially students. The changing of the students’ mentality and moral, for example, might be happened because of internal and/or external factors. The students never feel upset after doing something bad to others. They seemed that they did not know of how to respect adult people when doing communication. And, there were some other problems among the students. It might happen because they got lack of education about etique both at school or outside the school. The education of etique was really needed to do in order to solve those problems. It was clear that it became important thing in educational system today. The progress of education in one country, especially in Indonesia, could be seen from the suceed of implementing education characters to its students. <p><em>Approaches in Islamic studies should be appropriate with the object under studies. Linguistic approach is one of the approaches in Islamic studies whose object is scripture (manuscripts or texts). Therefore, as the main source of Islamic laws, al-Quran should use linguistics in one of its approaches. <p><em>One of the strategies of metacognitive introduced by the listening lecturers in listening comprehension III at STAIN Batusangkar is monitoring strategies. It is assumed that these strategies can help students solve their problem in listening comprehension in order to comprehend oral text correctly. The purposes of this research are to investigate what kind of students’ monitoring strategies are used and how they applied it in listening comprehension.The research method was descriptive qualitative.The participants of the research were English students who took listening comprehension III. 91 students were involved as the respondents to answer the questionnaire, and 12 students among them were selected to be interviewed using snowball sampling technique. The data of the research were collected by using questionnaire, interview, and observation. </em><em>After analizing the data</em><em>,</em><em> it </em><em>was </em><em>found that </em><em>most of students</em><em> used </em><em>monitoring strategies. These strategies include as: ask if it makes sense, selected attend, deduction, personalizing or contextualizing, taking note, using imagery, self talk, and cooperative strategy.</em><em> They had applied </em><em>these</em><em> strategies</em><em> in many ways</em><em> but some of the </em><em>them</em><em> did not </em><em>do </em><em>i</em><em>t properly</em><em>. </em><em>Based on these findings,</em><em> It can be concluded</em><em> thatmonitoring</em><em> strate</em><em>gies </em><em>used by the students in listening comprehension need to </em><em>enhance</em><em> int</em><em>o </em><em>the correct ways to get better comprehension in listening.</em><em></em></p><strong>Key words: </strong>Investigating, Metacognitive strategies, Monitoring strategies, Listening Comprehension
