The construction process embraces many activities and professions, and involves expenditure of money, price determination and in most cases, competition. In a competitive world, tendering and estimating skills are essential to secure new and existing clients. This book looks in detail at tendering and estimating within the context of today's construction industry. The section on estimating explains how build-up of unit rates is undertaken, and will be an excellent source of reference for the new estimator.
