Abstrak
Rany Rahmawati (2130402082) conducted a thesis titled The Role of Productive Zakat Funds in Increasing Mustahik Income (A Study at BAZNAS Tanah Datar Regency) for the Sharia Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The research problem examines the extent to which productive zakat funds distributed by BAZNAS Tanah Datar Regency can significantly and sustainably increase mustahik (zakat recipients) income. This is supported by Julian Rappaport's theory, which emphasizes providing access, control, and participation to individuals and groups to enhance their independent living capacity. The objective is to identify the role of productive zakat funds in boosting mustahik income at BAZNAS Tanah Datar Regency. This study employs field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, involving BAZNAS managers and mustahik recipients of productive zakat. In-depth interviews were conducted with managers and mustahik as key informants. Data collection techniques include interviews and documentation, while qualitative data analysis follows stages of data collection, reduction, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that productive zakat funds play a role in increasing mustahik income through: economic empowerment of mustahik, strengthening local economy, independence and resilience, capacity development, and sustainable social contribution.
