ABSTRACT Daswati, NIM. 212032001. Thesis Title: Development of an Integrative Module on Fasting at MTS Negeri 11 Tanah Datar. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. Students at MTs Negeri 11 Tanah Datar experience difficulties in understanding the fasting material because the textbooks used contain complex language, long sentences, and unengaging presentations, consisting only of text with few pictures. This results in students' lack of enthusiasm for learning, and their learning outcomes only reach a 50% completion rate, indicating a problem with learning effectiveness. The textbooks also do not meet the characteristics of good teaching materials, such as being self-instructive, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, and user-friendly, thus not supporting independent learning. To address this problem, innovation is needed in the form of developing teaching materials that are more suited to student needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of an integrative Fiqh module on fasting for grade VIII students in the even semester at MTs Negeri 11 Tanah Datar. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) to develop an integrative module on fasting at MTs Negeri 11 Tanah Datar. The goal was to produce a learning module that was effective, engaging, and tailored to students' needs, particularly in improving their understanding of the fasting material. The Define stage involved analyzing student needs and the curriculum; the Design stage included designing the module and evaluation instruments; the Develop stage included module validation by experts and a limited trial; while the Disseminate stage was not conducted due to time and cost constraints. Research data was collected through validation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation, with qualitative and quantitative data analysis conducted to ensure the resulting module was valid and practical. The results showed that this study produced an integrative module on fasting for grade VIII students at MTs Negeri 11 Tanah Datar. The module was developed using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with a focus on an integrative approach that combines aspects of Islamic jurisprudence, health, social, and environmental law. Expert validation results showed the module to be highly valid (85%), with presentation, language, and content meeting standards. Student practicality testing also showed the module to be highly practical (88%), with an easy-to-understand layout, content, language, and usage. This module is expected to enhance student understanding and provide an engaging and effective learning solution. The module is distributed digitally through platforms such as Google Drive and WhatsApp to ensure widespread and easy access.
