ABSTRACT Annisa Hanifah, Student ID Number 2130104009 Thesis Title: The Correlation Between Students' Perception on the Benefits of Quizizz Media and English Learning Achievement. UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. 2024/2025. This study aims to investigate the correlation between students' perceptions of the benefits of Quizizz and their English learning achievement. The primary problem underlying this research is preliminary observations indicating a potential gap between students' enthusiasm for using interactive learning media such as Quizizz, an online game-based learning platform widely used to support classroom learning and increase student engagement, and their English learning achievement, which is suboptimal or variable. This study was conducted with seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Sungai Tarab using a quantitative correlational method. Data were collected through a 27 item questionnaire to assess students' perceptions of the benefits of Quizizz, and their final English exam scores (summative scores) to measure learning achievement. The study population was 33 students. The collected data was then processed using SPSS statistical software version 30.0. The analysis began with descriptive statistics to describe the characteristics of the data on perceptions and learning achievement. Next, prerequisite tests were conducted, including normality and homogeneity tests. To test the correlation hypothesis, Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis was used. The research findings indicate that most students have very positive perceptions of Quizizz. Similarly, most students demonstrated excellent English learning achievement. However, the correlation analysis showed that the Pearson correlation coefficient (r = -0.090) was lower than the r-table value (0.355) at the 5% significance level, indicating no significant correlation between students' perceptions of the benefits of Quizizz and their English learning achievement. The results of this study indicate that although students view Quizizz positively, this perception does not correlate significantly with their academic achievement. This implies that other factors may be more dominant in influencing English learning achievement besides the perceived benefits of using Quizizz.
