ABSTRACT JULIANDRO PUTRA PERDANA, Reg. No. 1830104029, Title: "STUDENTS' READINESS ON TEACHING ENGLISH AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AFTER COMPLETING ENGLISH FOR YOUNG LEARNERS SUBJECT. English Teacher Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Mahmud Yunus State Islamic University, Batusangkar. The problem of this research is the students' readiness to teach English in elementary schools after completing English for Young Learners subject has not been revealed. The purpose of this research is to describe students' readiness to teach English in elementary schools after completing English for Young Learners subject. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The population of this study consists of English Teaching Department students of UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar who have taken the English for Young Learners, totaling 45 students. The sampling technique used total sampling. To collect data, this study used a questionnaire consisting of 52 items. The questionnaire was validated by two validators, with the overall validation test result being 0.73, categorized as highly valid. The reliability test was conducted using SPSS version 24, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.952, indicating perfect reliability. The questionnaire was distributed using Google Forms via the WhatsApp application, and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result of research showed the general finding of students’ readiness on teaching English at elementary school after completing English for Young Learner subject was very high category. Based on specific finding after calculation of each indicator, it was found that students’ content knowledge readiness was in high category. The percentage students’ pedagogical knowledge readiness was in high category. The percentage students’ existing skill readiness was in very high category. The percentage students’ attitude towards teaching readiness was in high category. Furthermore, students’ exposure to the topic readiness was in high category.
