Abstrak
Rahmi Nurjannah, Reg. No. 20 301 040 52, thesis title: “Level of Students’ Enjoyment in Learning Reading at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar”. English Teaching Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem of the research was it has not been revealed the level of students’ enjoyment in learning reading. This research purpose was to describe level of students’ enjoyment in learning reading at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. This research was quantitative research, a cross sectional design. The population of the study was 87 students from 2nd and 4th semester students majoring in English, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar 2023/2024 academic year. They were chosen by using total sampling technique. In collecting data, the research as the instrument was distributed questionnaire by following the theory from export about level of students’ enjoyment in learning reading at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. It consisted of positive and negative items that numbers 56 items. The design of questionnaire was validated by 3 validator, then she this reliabilited to research respondent. After collecting data, she a analyzed to the questionnaire by using Sugiyono’s descriptive statistics. The results showed that level of students' enjoyment in learning reading at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar was at high level (57.47%). The specific was level of students’ in learning reading in the 2nd semester is very high level (62.50%), while level of students’ in learning reading in the 4th semester is high level (74.47%).
