Abstrak
TRI VANY YULIANTI, NIM 1930104070, thesis title "Student’ Responses Toward Outdoor Speaking Examination in English for Daily Conversation Subject" English Language Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic University (UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem in this study is the loss of student concentration during the outdoor speaking examinatio in English for Daily Conversation subject, therefore the researcher wants to see what are the students' responses toward Outdoor Speaking Examination activity. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the Students' Response Toward Outdoor Speaking Examination in English for Daily Conversation subject. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. The population of this study was 39 English students in the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The sample in this study was 33 samples, because 6 samples could not take the test because they did not respond. This study uses a questionnaire as a research instrument. In determining the sample, the researcher used the total sampling technique. Based on the data analysis conducted, it was found that the responses given were very positive (61%), positive responses (39%), negative responses (0%) and very negative responses (0%). It can be concluded that the results of the study conducted indicate that Student Responses Toward Outdoor Speaking Examination in English for Daily Conversation subject are in accordance with the research findings. Students argue that the use of outdoor English language activities is good to be applied to exams in the English for Daily Conversation subject. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire showing students responses.
