Abstrak
ABSTRACT Rahma April Yanti, NIM. 1930104050, entitled “ Source Of Students’ Enjoyment In Learning Vocabulary At UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar ” Department of Tarbiyah English Tadris study program State Islamic University (UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. This research is based on a phenomenon in vocabulary courses, especially vocabulary classes taught in English Teaching Department Faculty Tarbiyah and Teacher Training of UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. Which phenomenon is to explore what are the sources of students enjoyment in the vocabulary course. The problem in this study is that sources of enjoyment from students have not been explored. The purpose of this study is to find sources of students enjoyment in Vocabulary class learning at Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar in 2023/2024. This study used a qualitative research approach with phenomenology methods. In this study, the informants studied were students English Teaching Department Faculty Tarbiyah and Teacher Training of UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar semester 2 who had taken Vocabulary courses in the previous semester 2. The sampling technique of this study was to use purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used by researcher in this study are in- depth interview guidlines. The research instruments used in the study to process the research data are data reduction, data display, and data conclusion, drawing , and verification. To ensure the validity of the data, this study uses source tringulation techniques as a way to ensure the truth of the data. The results of this study show that the sources of students enjoyment in vocabulary learning is internal and external. Then internal the source of students enjoyment from use strategie in the class. While from the external is the source of students enjoyment from lecturer friendliness, source os students enjoyment from vocabulary class, sources of students enjoyment from classmates.
