Abstrak
PUTRI ANISA RAHMI, NIM. 2030104049, thesis title: TEACHERS' READINESS IN USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING ENGLISH AT SD ISLAM RAUDHATUL JANNAH PAYAKUMBUH. English Teaching Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Islamic State University of Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem in this study is the readiness of English teachers in using digital technology at the elementary school level has not been revealed. The objective of this study is to identify the types of digital technologies used by teachers during English language teaching in elementary school and to describe English teachers' readiness in using digital technology in English language learning at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh. The research method used was Qualitative Research with a Case Study design. The researcher employed purposive sampling technique to select informants. The informants of this research are three English teachers who teach at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh. In this research, the researcher function as the key instrument in data collection and it is assisted by a supporting instrument, namely an interview guide. To test the validity of the data, the researcher conducted time triangulation of data by comparing the first and second interviews. Furthermore, for data analysis, the researcher utilized the theory of Miles & Huberman (1994), which involves: data reduction, displaying and presenting data, and verifying data and drawing conclusions. The research findings show that the types of digital technology that are often used by teachers at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh are PowerPoint and Quizizz Application. Furthermore, based on the results of the research that has been conducted, teachers at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh have good emotional readiness in carrying out their teaching duties using digital technology in elementary schools seen from teacher's willingness, adaptability, comfort and confidence. Cognitively, it can be said that teachers have been quite proficient in using and applying the use of digital technology in elementary schools. Meanwhile, teachers at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh show that they are ready to use digital technology in terms of behaviour. Teachers not only understand the importance of technology in education, but also have integrated digital technology into their teaching methods in an effective and adaptive way. So it can be concluded that teachers at SD Islam Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh have the readiness in using digital technology during the English learning process.
