THE BENEFIT OF USING U-DICTIONARY APPS IN TRANSLATION (A Study of Fifth Semester Students of English Teaching Department At State Islamic University of Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar In 2022/2023 Academic Year)

Abstrak

Abstract: The background of this research was that the motivated by the large number of English students who use the U-Dictionary application rather than other translation applications in fifth semester translation learning in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used qualitative methods. There were six informants for this research, they were fifth semester English students in class A in the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of this study showed that there ware four benefits found from the interview results, including: 1) The benefit in easy to use, 2) The benefit in having many features, 3) The benefit in having many synonyms in each choice of words that are suitable for use, 4) The benefits in better translation results.
