Abstrak
This research was motivated by the low biology learning outcomes of class XI students at MAN 2 Tanah Datar. To overcome this, a new learning model is needed, one of which is using the Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) learning model. The aim of this research is to find out whether student learning outcomes using the Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) learning model are better than biology learning outcomes using the conventional learning model at MAN 2 Tanah Datar. The type of research used by researchers is Quasi Experiment with a Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study were all students in class XI MIPA MAN 2 Tanah Datar for the 2022/2023 academic year. Class sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique, those taken as experimental classes were class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 1 as the control class. The instrument used in this research was an objective test question. Data was obtained from the results of students' objective test questions. The data analysis that researchers used was the t-test. The results of this research show that students' biology learning outcomes using the Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) learning model are better than biology learning outcomes using conventional learning models. This is proven based on hypothesis testing using the t test, the value obtained is ttable = 1.645 and tcount = 9.093 at a real level of 0.5 so that tcount > ttable, namely 9.093 > 1.645. When viewed from the average value, the experimental class has a higher average value, namely 84.75, compared to the control class average, namely 59.28.
