Vicky Aulia Citra Nim 1830307017 (2018) Title: "The Impact of Social Media on Beginner Voter's Behavior in the Election of Regional Head in Padang Magek, Rambatan, in 2020" Islamic Political Thought Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah, State Islamic University Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar The topic of this research is about the influence of social media on beginner voter's behavior in the election of regional head in Padang Magek, Rambatan, in 2020. Furthermore, this research wants to find the impact of social media on beginner voter's behavior in the election of regional head in Padang Magek, Rambatan, in 2020. Finally, this research applies Quantitative Method. This research uses the theory of use and gratification on three independent variables, which are the use of Collaborative Project (X1), the use of Blogs and Microblogging and Social Networks (X2), as well as the use of Content Communities (X3) on the dependent variable; which is beginner voter's behavior in the election of regional head in Padang Magek, in 2020. This research applies a quantitative survey design approach, namely by distributing questionnaires. The results of the actual data signify that the use of Collaborative Project (X1), Microblogging and Social Networking (X2), as well as Content Communities (X3) does not influence beginner voter's behavior, in which the Asymp Sig. value > 0.05 X1: 0.708, X2 : 0.160 and X3 : 0.170 respectively. It shows that Ha is rejected, whereas Ho is accepted.
