. This research is motivated by the facts found in the field that the use of teaching materials is limited where schools only use textbooks in the science learning process, thus making the learning process less effective and lack of motivation of students in learning. The purpose of this research is to produce teaching materials in the form of a valid and practical Science Process Skills (KPS) based module. The type of research applied through this activity is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D model (define, design, develop and disseminate). The module product was validated by 2 Biology lecturers at IAIN Batusangkar and 1 natural science teacher and a practical test by 25 students in class VIII SMP N 7 Payakumbuh using validation instruments and practical instruments. The results obtained are the Science Process Skills (KPS)-based science learning module which was assessed by 3 validators with an average percentage result of 87% in the very valid category and the average practicality of the module by students obtaining 85% results in the practical category, so that it can be interpreted that the Science Process Skills (KPS)-based module can already be used.
