MUTIA MAHARANI NIM. 14 107 022, Thesis Title "The Application of Audio-Visual Media (Video) Against Class XI Student Learning Outcomes in the Study of Physics in Static Fluid Material at SMA N 1 BATUSANGKAR", Tadris Department of Physics, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Batusangkar 2020 2020 . Student physics learning outcomes, especially in class XI IPA SMA 1 Batusangkar still relatively low, students tend to only accept material delivered by the teacher, not all students are actively involved in learning and the classroom atmosphere becomes less conducive. This resulted in students lacking understanding in the learning provided by the teacher This type of research is quasi-experimental research, with a posttest-only control design. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA N 1 Batusangkar as many as 4 classes consisting of 144 people. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique, the selected sample was class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data collection in the study used a test of learning outcomes for the cognitive domain which consisted of objective tests of 20 questions. While the affective and psychomotor domains of students were obtained using observation sheets which were analyzed descriptively quantitative. Based on the results of the final test conducted, student learning outcomes in the experimental class for the average and percentage of completeness in the cognitive domain were 83.19 and 72%, while in the control class were 73.47 and 50%. For the affective domain, the average value of the experimental class and the control class are 79.03 and 74.93, respectively. As for the psychomotor domain, the average value of the experimental class and the control class were 75.81 and 73.26, respectively. After testing the hypothesis using the t test, tcount> ttable is obtained (2,162> 1,666) for the cognitive domain, (2,806> 1,666) for the affective domain, and (1,926> 1,666) for the psychomotor domain while ttable = 1,666 at the 0 level, 05. Means tcount> ttable so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be concluded that "Student physics learning outcomes with the application of audio-visual media (video) is better than physics learning outcomes by applying conventional learning in Class XI MIPA SMA N 1 Batusangkar".
