<p><em>Seigniorage refers to any profits resulting from issuing particular currency. Seigniorage is basically profits made by a country from the initial use of fiat money. As the issuer of a currency, a country gets profits resulting from the differences value of production cost and nominal value stated on the money. On the other hand, to earn some money, citizens need to works hard and spend time. Consequently, there seems to be a gap between what the citizens get and the profits the government makes. <div><p><em>The study of Istisqaq (derivational word) as a part of Fiqh lughah (Arabic linguistic) is a main concern of linguists in the recent decade. Istisqa’ is one of the distinguished features of Arabic which have rich vocabulary. In the early of the third century of Hijriah year, several Ulamas (Moslem scholar) pay a serious attention in the study of Istisqaq. Istisqaq is a process of forming a word to another word in order to produce a new meaning. This formation was initiated by Ibn Jinniy. He then wrote a monumental book entitled Al-Khashaish. Istisqaq is identical with the study of Ilm Syarf (morphology). This paper concludes that the teaching of fiqh lughah in an advanced level needs to improve. <p><em>Teaching students to speak English is not an easy task. The teachers shoud consider and think hard about several points to be done</em><em>: to </em><em>mak</em><em>e</em><em> the students motivated to speak English</em><em>, to </em><em>keep</em><em>them </em><em>speaking the new language</em><em>, and to make them have</em><em> accuracy in speaking the language</em><em>, and to c</em><em>orrect the students’ mistakes without feeling</em><em> being </em><em> blamed or discouraged. <p><em>A group of the same age was the second environment for specific individu in interacting with others in his/her environment. It became an intercation medium by this group to explore their knowledge. In real life, it usually took much influence on students’ attitude rather than parents’ influence. <p><em>This research was done to see the practicability of learning material based E-Learning that was developed in Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 1 (KPB 1). The practicability of this material was seen from the easiest of using this material by the students. The design of this research was research development. The research instrument was interview. The data from interview was analyzed by using descriptive analysis. <div><p><em>Mental revolution is a national movement that could be implemented in many areas including in the field of education. Teachers could implement this movement in order to inject students’ character. One of the strategies to actualize mental revolution in schools is using integrated Islamic teaching. Islamic teaching is not taught separately but must be implemented integratively. The use of integrative Islamic teaching is expected that students comprehend the learning content contextually. The implementation might be done using the integration of Islamic teaching to other subject matters such as civic, sport, art, language and others. It is even could be done the use of the integration of Islamic teaching to Islamic subject matters such as fiqh, aqidah akhlaq, and Quran hadits. <p><em>The depelopment of technology in Globalization era may give bad influence to education nowadays. It had created people’s moral crisis, especially students. The changing of the students’ mentality and moral, for example, might be happened because of internal and/or external factors. The students never feel upset after doing something bad to others. They seemed that they did not know of how to respect adult people when doing communication. And, there were some other problems among the students. It might happen because they got lack of education about etique both at school or outside the school. The education of etique was really needed to do in order to solve those problems. It was clear that it became important thing in educational system today. The progress of education in one country, especially in Indonesia, could be seen from the suceed of implementing education characters to its students. <p><em>Approaches in Islamic studies should be appropriate with the object under studies. <div><p><em>Reading is a proses of involving reader’s physics and mental. The purpose of reading is not only to get new information passively but also to comprehend the text actively. In order to get good result in reading, a reader needs to apply various strategies. Kinsella (2000) offers several reading strategies such as PACA, KWL Plus, Outlining, and Concept Building. Those strategies could be well implemented based on reader’s purpose to read. <p><em>The rapid development of knowledge and technology brings learners to innovative things in their lives. Television is one of technologies lead learners to the positive things. For example, television could facilitate learners to study easily and enlarge their horizons. It, however, has a negative effect on learners’ personality. Learners assume that what they watch and listen are absolutely correct. As a result, they do all the things as what they watch. They are failed to filter the positive values on television. In order to anticipate these negative values, teachers should corporate to parents. Parents, for example, could empower leaner’s iman (faith), build their character values, and enrich their ibadah (worship) to God Almighty. <div><p><em>Strategy-based instruction is believed to able to improve students’ involvement in learning, including learning listening. Unfortunately, the lack concept of the instruction and the less training that the students have causes them still struggling in learning listening. This research report is aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using strategy-based instruction in term of students’ involvement and students’ comprehension in listening. This is a classroom action research of which the researcher and the teacher worked collaborately in implementing the strategy-based instruction. The research was done in two cycles of which each cycle was realized in three meetings. The data were collected using questionnaire and test. The finding suggests that the strategy-based instruction improve students’ learning in term of involvement and comprehension. The involvement in learning listening raised in all aspects of strategies which include cognitive, metacognitive and socio-affective strategies which reaches 30,3%. The improvement in term of involvement also affects the improvement in students’ comprehension from the average of 47 in the beginning of the study to 73 or 53% at the end of the.</em><em></em></p><strong>Key words: </strong>Students engagement, learning strategy, strategy based instruction</div>

This study employed ethnography method and such techniques as observation, interview, documentary studies and questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed by means of domain, taxonomy and componential analyses. Findings showed that the learning habits of the majority students of outstanding achievement class (kelas unggulan) of MTsN Batusangkar both at school and at home were good. Those habits were in line with achievement which they took is a reward. Satisfaction toward the reward encouraged them to be more motivated in learning which in turn developed better learning habit. These had formed a good chain in learning process. This research therefore aimed designing teaching instructional, testing validity and testing practicality of the implementation of the materials upon the topic of animal growth in biology. This research employed research and development design. The first phase dealt with reconstruction or designing learning materials and the instrument that were used in cooperative learning. Next, testing instrument validity was done by expert. In the last phase, limited try out was conducted to figure out the practicality. The findings showed that learning materials and the supporting instruments were valid. Such learning materials included syllabus, lesson plans, students’ lab sheets, concept map manual and students’ achievement evaluation sheet. Implementation practicality was assessed from the cooperative learning process and students’ responses.
