Abstrak
This research is motivated by problems seen in the field, namely that the media used by teachers in teaching only uses conventional media in the form of whiteboards and markers. The lesson is explained using the lecture method and then written on the board. Students are asked to take notes. At the beginning of learning, students were still focused on what the teacher was saying and after a few minutes, many students were doing their own activities, such as, some were allowed to go out and some were chatting with friends, which resulted in less effective learning. Therefore, it is necessary to change the learning media by using the Capcut application. This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of learning video media on the Abbasid dynasty material using the Capcut application in class VIII SMPN 1 Suliki. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model which has 5 stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Data sources were obtained from observations, interviews, validity, practicality and documentation. The validation results from material experts obtained a score of 91.25% and validation from media experts obtained a score of 85.67% in the "very valid" category and testing the practicality of learning videos using the Capcut application obtained a score of 85.45% in the "very practical" category.
