Students’ Perception Toward Argumentative Writing Course Project
ABSTRACT Shahibul Fadhilah, NIM 2030104058, thesis title “Students’ Perception toward Argumentative Writing Course Project (A Study of the Fourth Semester Students of English Teaching Department of UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar Regstered in 2023/2024 Academic Year)” English Teaching department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic University (UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem of this research was the students’ perception toward argumentative writing course project had not been revealed yet. This research aimed to find out the students perception toward argumentative writing course project. This research was quantitative with a survey design. The population of the research was 47 students. The sample of this research was 38 students that had been choosen by applying simple random sampling technique. The key instrument was the researcher himself. In collecting the data, He created a questionnaire that consisted of 36 items in order to find out students perception toward argumentative writing course project. He distributed the questionnaire to the research respondents. After collecting the data, he analyzed the result by using descriptive statistical analysis. The research results showed that students perception toward argumentative writing course project was strongly positive (91%). It also had been revealed that: 1)Students perception toward argumentative writing course project in term of cognitive was strongly positive (92%); 2)Students perception toward argumentative writing course project in term of affective was strongly positive (91%); 3)Students perception toward argumentative writing course project in term of conative was strongly positive (90%).
